Chapter I · Where we are

San Pietro in Bevagna

San Pietro in Bevagna is one of those places where time seems to slow down. The moment you arrive the pace shifts. You feel lighter. It is not the kind of place built to impress people, and that is precisely what makes it special.

Days drift by slowly: clear water, pale sandy beaches, long sunsets, and that sense of having nothing to do and feeling fine about it. San Pietro is beautiful because it feels left in another era — when happiness meant simply stepping out in the evening, walking without a hurry, having an ice cream in the square. It has the genuine atmosphere of simple summers. There is even a small funfair lit up all summer, with its distant lights and music and happy children — a scene from a summer many years ago.

In the evening there are beachside places where you can have a drink or eat almost barefoot in the sand, with the smell of the sea everywhere. And when everything gets quieter you can hear the call of the scops owl, that light night-time signal that simply calms you. Just sitting on the terrace at night, with the sea air on your skin, doing nothing in particular, is already enough. It is one of those places that stay with you not because they are perfect or luxurious — but because they make you feel well.

Chapter III · The house

The house

La Begonia is a ground-floor house divided into two independent apartments, 250 metres from the sea. Each apartment has its own entrance and private spaces; the shared parts — central hall and upper terrace — are designed for being together when you want to, without obligation.

It is the right setup for two families travelling together, groups of friends, or extended families: each has autonomy, but breakfast, drinks and open-air dinners can be shared on the terrace around the barbecue.
